CONDITIONAL TYPE 2
In
a conditional sentence of type 2, the verb tense of the clause "if"
is the "simple past" and the one of the main clause can be the
"present conditional" or the "present continuous conditional
As with all conditional sentences, the order of
propositions is not fixed. It may be necessary to modify pronouns and
punctuation by changing the order of the clauses but the meaning of the
sentence remains the same
